I’m not what you’d call a 'people person' in Stardew Valley. I’d rather spend a whole season petting my chickens, passing out in the mines, or accidentally selling my iridium sprinkler to Pierre than chase down the Wizard for a chat. But friendship is important, right? Free recipes, mail gifts, and those adorable heart events don’t unlock themselves. So what’s a socially awkward farmer to do? Enter the Bulletin Board bundles. Complete them, and every non-romanceable villager in Pelican Town gains two full hearts. Yes, even Marnie, who is somehow never at her shop when I need her. 🐔

The Bulletin Board bundles are the most chaotic, diverse, and weirdly educational part of the Community Center. You’ll need items from farming, mining, fishing, foraging, cooking, and animal husbandry. In 2026, with all the updates and quality-of-life changes, it’s still one of the pricier and more time-consuming bundle sets. But that +2 heart reward for all twelve non-romance candidates? Worth it. Let’s break down each bundle so you don’t lose your mind.

Chef’s Bundle: Cooking with Tears (and Truffles)

As the name suggests, this one is all about food. The Chef’s Bundle is also the bundle that will make you question your life choices. Two items stand out as time-gates: Truffle and Fiddlehead Fern. Truffles only come from pigs, which means you need at least one Deluxe Barn. No, you can’t just find them in the forest. I tried. The Fiddlehead Fern used to be a Secret Woods exclusive—requiring an upgraded axe—but in the 1.6 era, Green Rain in Summer can drop them all over the valley. Bless that weird green weather. 🌧️

You’ll also need a kitchen, so upgrade your farmhouse with Robin at least once. The rest? Maple Syrup is easy: slap a Tapper on a maple tree and wait seven days.

Tapper on a maple tree and wait seven days. Passive resources are my love language.

Dye Bundle: Feathers, Cabbage, and Sea Urchins

The Dye Bundle has two notorious bottlenecks: Duck Feather and Red Cabbage. Duck Feathers require ducks, which require a Big Coop. So first, upgrade that coop and buy ducks from Marnie—if you can catch her. Red Cabbage seeds aren’t sold by Pierre until Summer of Year 2. Ouch. If you’re lucky, the Traveling Cart might sell one earlier. Is it reliable? No. Is it worth checking every Friday and Sunday? Absolutely.

The rest is manageable. Red Mushroom can be foraged in Secret Woods in Summer/Fall or found in Mines levels 21–69. Aquamarine appears in Mines below level 40. Sunflowers grow in Summer and Fall. Sea Urchins are on the far side of the Beach, behind the small broken bridge—or you can grab them on the normal beach between Summer 12–14 when extra forage washes up. Easy enough.

Field Research Bundle: Mining, Fishing, and One Polite Fish

If you didn’t choose the mushroom cave from Demetrius, this bundle sends you deep into the Mines. Purple Mushroom spawns below level 81, and Frozen Geodes appear between floors 41 and 79. Bring snacks. The Chub is the only fish on the entire Bulletin Board, and it’s mercifully simple: any season, any time, Mountain Lake or rivers. Thank you, Chub. Finally, a Nautilus Shell can be picked up on the Beach in Winter. Just don’t sell it by accident like I did. 🐚

Fodder Bundle: The Easiest Bundle in the Game?

Marnie’s animal-themed Fodder Bundle is the easiest of the lot—especially if you picked fruit bats for your cave. Plant Wheat in Summer or Fall, harvest ten Wheat and ten Hay after the first four-day growth. Boom. If you have fruit bats, wait for three apples. If you chose the mushroom cave instead, plant an apple tree by mid-summer. Fruit trees take a full season to grow and only produce in one season, so timing matters. Apples in Fall, three needed. Four if you’re also doing the Artisan Bundle. Plan ahead, future me.

Enchanter’s Bundle: Rabbit’s Foot and Pomegranate Panic

The Enchanter’s Bundle is where your upgraded buildings laugh at you. Rabbit’s Foot only comes reliably from rabbits in a Deluxe Coop. You also need one Pomegranate, which means fruit bat cave or a Pomegranate Tree. Like apples, pomegranates fruit in Fall, so plant by mid-summer. Oak Resin is easy: Tapper on an oak tree, wait seven days. Wine? Put any fruit in a Keg. It’s also one of the best money-makers in Stardew Valley, so you’re probably doing it anyway. 🍷

Final Thoughts: Is the Bulletin Board Worth It?

Who doesn’t want two free hearts with every villager? The Wizard, Marnie, Clint, and all the others who never seem to be around when you need them. The Bulletin Board bundles are a grind, but they’re a rewarding one. Prioritize the Fodder Bundle early, start apple and pomegranate trees by mid-summer, and pray to Yoba for Red Cabbage at the Traveling Cart. Before you know it, your mailbox will be stuffed with recipes and your friendship meter will be glowing. And if all else fails? Just give everyone a diamond. They love diamonds. 💎
